Based on these criteria, they will recommend a list of bands to you accompanied by a brief description of each act.
The descriptions contain such details as the number of members the band has and what instruments they play. Also included is a brief description of exactly what kind of music they play; covers of classics from the fifties, renditions of reggae hits or guitar solos of self-composed songs. It is important that you read and consider these details as they will help you determine how well they will be suited to your intended venue and audience. If you know your guests well and are familiar with their musical taste, your decision will be much easier to make. If not, you are better off going for a well rounded band that is comfortable playing any genre.
Price will definitely be the most important factor in deciding which band you finally settle on. As a rule of thumb, the more the band members and greater the variety of instruments they play, the higher the charges will be. Reputation is also a factor; well known and well travelled groups will have higher rates. In the rare event that none of the bands for hire fits within your budget, you can simply opt for a DJ.
